Im trying to clean up a old vhs tape that i want to trasnfer to dvd its a bit blurry and parts of the video are washed out from the lighting that was used on the original taping are there any filters that will sharpen the picture and get rid of the bright spots on the video. Some of the faces are hard to see because the light on the camera must have been pointing right at the peoples faces and its so bright you cant see the faces.

The problem is that the results will never have all the infomation that the original had. Filtering can only remove data not add it.
Make the highest quality transfers you can. Then burn to DVD.
