    Yeah, but are they the uncut LaserDisc versions? Those are best I think. Then the full-on special ones next.

    I agree I used to own them on laserdisc (while I still had a player)

    If I remember right it will be possible to play the dvd's with or without the added "special edition bits"

    I am interested in whether the sound will be upgraded to EX or ES though.

    the sound belongs in stereo (or even mono - lucas preferred the mono mix he made) and i doubt we'll be seeing non hacked-up versions. glad i still have my unaltered lasers.....

  10. Are these going to be the Special Edition versions of the movies ? Will it be possible to get the original versions of these on DVD ?

    Unclear yet, I have read yes and no on different sites, probably more info will be revealed closer to the date.

    it's all rumour and conjecture for now, but in my opinion they will be re-worked special editions.
    we'll probably see retouched but unaltered editions in 2007.

  13. They'll be the special editions with even better re-worked effects. Like the crappy sabers and Jabba in Episode IV. And the covers look pretty cool too.
