  1. I am trying to convert a divx to mpeg for burning.

I have had to extract the audio with virtual dub, however, the audio file is 2 seconds longer than the .avi file. Usually the audio is exact or 1 second out...but this one is 2 seconds.

When I encode with TMPGEnc...it freezes at 89% each and every time.

However, when I play the .avi on my puter...I have no problems.

What can I do to solve this?

I don't really know why it behaves like that, but if you think it's the 2 seconds that makes it, why not edit the wave file in Sound Forge or Wavelab and delete the 2 seconds...

  3. OR you could try opening the avi file that works in Tmpgenc 12a by going to video source and selecting the avi file. you dont need to seperate the audio and video for tmpgenc 12a you can just load the avi and choose which format to save in. you can also load a premade vcd template that works well.
