  3. Disks are good mfg ... try using Nero or DVDInfoPro to read the disk contents and check for read errors.

I have read that read errors at the 'end' of the disk are very common place.... subsequently I try to avoid writting past 4GB on most my disk productions ... others may agree or not regarding that. (This is not true for DVD duplication with Clone or Shrink when they reduce down to max size of 4.3G.... I just say a small prayer )

yes - they come with the labels attached from my supplier

  6. Never heard of that before, how are you supposed to print on them ?. If they indeed do have sticky labels applied, then try removing one with warm soapy water and see if that helps. Sticky paper labels can cause disc read errors.

Shink content a few hundred mb shy of the max. This will give u a buffer in low quality dvds where the dye doesnt make it to the edge.

  9. I think Dr. Gee is talking about when you are trying to shrink the dvd, to shrink it a little extra. But I don't think that's what your problem is. Try Craig's advice if there is a stick label on it.
    Blah, blah, blah

so these sticky labels are not a good thing then??

I have made so many coasters today on ritekgo4 media its not funny.

some of the backups only go to 99% others to 100 % but then the playbacks are jumpy and jerky, maybe i will toss my stomper away

  11. Sticky labels are a very bad thing for DVD's. If you really want nice looking DVD's invest in an epson R200 printer and some printable ritek G04's

Try different media. The Ritek's may not be a good match for your burner. One size does not fit all.
