DVD SShrink Question...

Ive been using dvd shrink for awhile now, and love the program. But when i use it i always check the dpp analysis option. And i was wondering if this was needed. It adds a lot of time, and im nit sure if it will give me the same amount of good copies that usign teh deep analysis does. Because ive only had a few problems with deep analysis, and ive been using it for awhile now. And since ive upgraded i wasnt sure if the normal cop and encode was working better.

I always use Deep Analysis but that is because I am the perfectionist type and would rather waste an hour then lose even a little bit of the supposed quality. I should do an experiment and see if there is a noticable difference, my bet is that it will be slight if at all visible.

For me it depends on how much I shrink the video. I usually just do the main movie and keep it above 80%. If I had to go lower, I definitely use deep analysis. If your computer is fast, it's probably worth it. Also depends on the quality of the DVD.

i know somebody posted b4 what exactly it does. YES, it does improve quality. to me it's not a waste of time. when im watching a movie im actually looking for defects, im a freak like that.

the standard analysis is a quick one pass. Deep Analysis does an in depth 2 pass scan of it to better determine where to adjust bitrate.
