Help!! What version and what is the name of this program??

So far I've tried Pinnacle Studion version 9, NeroVision Express and VideoStudio 6, and all of these programs require rendering/encoding for hours and hours even though all I did was just add a transition effect to two mpeg files. The files are untouched, all I did was add a transition effect and now it wants to take hours for rendering.

I recall using a Roxio program... I forgot what it's called or what version since my computer crashed a year ago. But it allowed for menu and transition effects and straight burning onto your vcd without having to wait for hours of rendering. Can anybody name this program or suggest a program that can do the same thing for me?

I've been using basic Nero express, it allows menus for your vcds but no transition effects. That's why I've been searching for the Roxio program ever since I lost it. Please advise, I'm new to video editing. So please advise. Thanks in advance!

i think the name you looking for is roxio dvd duilder that comes with the roxio 6 software..i don't know about it's capabilities of burning to vcds but the menus and transistions effects are in that program.
