What are the steps for ripping a DVD and then editing it in Final Cut Express and reburning it? If there is a way to do it without using DVDxDV that would be great. Thanks a lot!

You can use Cinematize instead of DVDxDV, but you'll get pretty similar results. Why do you want to avoid DVDxDV? You need to convert to DV format if you want to edit with Final Cut or iMovie.

what about YadeX? Can't you just use that to get it into DV?
