  1. Ok i have just started trying to convert my SVCDs into compliant DVDs that will work in all players. I based how I converted them on this http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides.php?category=othertodvd&name=tmpegencvcdtodvd guide and this https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=171216 guide, but I have changed them a litte though. I just want to make sure that the DVDs that i make are ok after i do this.

    1) I use SVCD2DVD to rip the .bin images that i have, and i choose the output stream type as Program Streams. I do this because SVCD2DVD fixes the mpgs using vcdgear as well as fixes the audio.
    2) Then I take those mpg files and bring them into TMPGEnc Plus and encode them folling steps 7,8, 9 and 10 from the Afonic DVD Guide. And I choose the output as .m2v and .mp2 files.
    3) Using those files I use DVDLab to author the dvd and compile it.

Ok thats what i have done to change my SVCDs into DVDs. If I am wrong and these DVDs aren't compliant a hint as to what i am doing wrong would be great. And if the way I do it is ok and you guys could recommend a faster encoder than TMPGEnc that would help also.

    Thanks

  2. Sounds like a good process.
The only thing that may speed it all up, is using Mainconcept mpeg encoder instead of tmpgenc. It's faster. Another option may be CCE, bbmpeg, or Canopus Procoder (they're all faster than tmpgenc).
If dvdlab doesn't give you any errors or warnings, then they are dvd compliant.
