I have converted several videos into MPG-1 to turn into VCDs.

The MPGs seem fine, they are great actually, BUT when I compile them together with the Menus I made for my VCD in Ulead DVD Workshop (v 1.2 i believe) there is a problem..

The Video tends to skip ahead a few frames while the video plays, then it jumps back to the correct position after a second (the audio stays at the right time through the whole thing, even these skips). The audio and video stay in synch (except for those instances I just described, once they are gone it's fine again).

I'm wondering if anyone knows what the problem here is..

I also want to know if I could maybe just compile the VCD, and replace the .dat files on the VCD with my MPGs (after renaming them of course).

That would be a nice quick fix possibly, but I'm not sure if it would work on a DVD or VCD player (and I don't have one to test with).

EDIT: I also tried just loading the AVIs into DVD Workshop.. it does the exact same thing... maybe it's a frame speed issue? I don't know...
