People. What am I doing wrong? I have a file in the following format:
    PAL, Mpeg 1, 352 x 240, 29.97fps, 1150kbps, 44.1Mhz, 224Kbps.

This file was generated through TMPGen. When I try to VCD it through Nero I get an "Invalid file" error, something about "2 channel sound" and "Not streamed for Video-CD".

    Any help?

  2. Not an answer, but a question about your file:
Interesting format of the mpeg: PAL, 29.97fps and 352x240... Could you explain why/how you created this format. Is it possible to fool the VCD/DVD player to believe that an NTSC VCD is a PAL VCD this way?

  3. That format is strange. You need to look at the standard formats NTSC is 352x240, 29.97,... PAL is 352x288 25 fps,.. Are you using one of the standard templates?

  4. GF hit it on the head. you have a mixture of NTSC and PAL settings. it won't work on a TV that way.

you should set it to fully PAL or NTSC, not a combination.

  5. randallc is right u have a mixture of NTSC and PAL settings
to make it work u should have a pure NTSC or PAL file ur's is a hybrid.......and o yea dont call TMPGEnc Stupid it one of the software that let people encode to mpeg without paying a dime and its one of the best out there
