    How many SVCD minutes can fit on a DVD? Like 35-40 minutes can fit on a CD, so how many minutes can fit on a DVD?

    35 to 40 min on 0.8 GB - how much on 4.35 GB? That's kinder garten math 190 - 220 min =3.10 to 3.40. Rough figures, as SVCD doesn't have a fixed bit rate...

    I have "perfect" picture with the following settings

    8 hours of 352 x 288 (vbr mpeg 2 / interlace - it is possible only with PAL)
    4 Hours of 352 x 576 (vbr mpeg 2)
    2.5 Hours of 704 x 576 (vbr mpeg 2)
