I can get Dish Network from work for the same price per month Insight charges us for standard analog cable. But if we disconnect our cable with Insight Communications, will we still be able to keep our Roadrunner internet? I mean if we can still keep the internet through them but get rid of their cable service we'd be dumb not to go with DishNetwork for TV for the value and monthly price.

Look into it first, but I think if you have the Cable service, too, there is usually a $10-20 discount. If you drop the cable service, your RR cost may go up. RoadRunner is traditionally through Time Warner and you might find insight is the local name for Time Warner (or maybe not). But Usually Time Warner doesn't offer the discount and gives you a low rate anyway on RoadRunner, but it may be different where you live. I know Out East I had Road runner for $35 a mo. and got 5Mbps. Out west Cox carges $35 for 1 Mbps and the cost increases to about $50-$60 to get to 3-5Mbps. It's just sad in some areas. I'm waiting for satellite broadband prices to come down (if they ever do) and get satellite service for both broadband and cable. Then I can go pretty much anywhere I want.
