    hi,i have a jvc dr-m1,whats the best authering programme out there for doing all my home made movies from camcorder,vcd conversions ect.
    at the moment im using tmpg dvd,but i find this very basic for menus and so on.

    TMPGEnc DVD Author and Ulead DVD Factory 3 are the 2 basic Standard Authors, so don't expect to much from them.

    If i was you i would go for DVD-LAB, it's more complicated and has a hell of a lot more features than TMPGEnc and Ulead put together.

    There are plenty of guides on how to use it.

    Definitely try DVDAuthorGUI. It has plenty of features isn't hard too use and best of all, it's FREE! You can't go wrong!
