OK, I'm a little behind the times, but my wife and I watched Hannibal for the first time this weekend.
I have a question. Hannibal didn't get eaten by the pigs; they just sniffed his bare feet and kept right on going.
Why?

Housepig is correct. They could "sense" that Hannibal was pure evil. It was more obvious in the text of the book than onscreen.
