    I'm looking to buy a dvd recorder to record tv shows (like a vcr) I'm wondering if anyone has digital cable and a recorder, cause I'm curious if I can record from all my cable channels 300 or so, or do the recorders channel selector on go to a certain point (ex 99 or 125)?

    FYI looking to buy a philips dvdr615 or dvdr80, but want to here from anyone on this topic.....thanx

  2. Shold be able to Record any channel,using the right hookup...

  3. If you use the composite or s-video output of the cable box, you should be able to record any channel that you can see on your TV.
