one more thing, i,ve been trying with head3ache from ac3 to wav but my ac3 file is 574mb and i want the same file in wav format, but it gives me more than double, what can i do?

Live with it. Wav is uncompressed = very large file size.

Personally I use AC3Tool

Its free, and can extract the AC3 soundtrack from any DVD, some software can only extract the audio from 1 VOB, AC3Tool works it out, and extract the entire audio

Can convert AC3 to MP3 or WAV, and downmix Dolby, 6-ch, 5-ch, to 2-ch, surround, stereo, it does the lot

Its a very small program, not very pretty to look at, but it does exactly what it says with no bloatware, and useless features just to make it more appealing
