i want to make a DVD of all the best bits of my captured dvd movies, is there such a piece of software that allows me just to capture a segment off a disc so that i can then go on and join all the best bits together to make a compilation dvd. theres about 100 one hour dvds so i dont want to go down the route of having to rip each dvd onto the hard disk and then have to chop it up!!! any suggestions

DVDShrink can do it and is probably the quickest/cleanest/most noob-friendly way of doing it - look in the guides section for "multiple videos to one DVD" or something like that in the authoring section. IIRC, there's about 3 different guides.

Smartripper, along with VOBEdit and IFOEdit can also do it, but it's a bit more tedious. Do Steps 1 & 2 from this guide, then use this guide to do the rest.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Hello,

dvdshrink can do segments. Go to start/end in reauthor mode. Then move the slider to select the amount of time you want to backup.
