Well the Tyan gave up the ghost last night. After babying that thing from the start the ATX power connector finally fried. This is a normal problem for the 2460 when you're running it out of Tyan spec but I've had the 1900s in there forever and that is the max Tyan supports on that board. I also ran all the fans through a controller so no extra power off the board. That this still happened doesn't make me happy. I now have to test all the hardware that was plugged into it to make sure everything else still works since sometimes when these go it takes everything with it. The ATX connector is fused together so that PSU is pretty much fried unless I cut the plug off and attach a new one. Dunno yet if Tyan will RMA it or not but I'll find out shortly. The retailer it was bought from no longer exists (MicroPro). I really hope it didn't take the HDDs with it since the storage drive had all my personal projects.

I guess the DH800 gets it full time now

Damage (fried) connector posts on the right side there. The 5v lines.

Sorry to hear that Rally. However, now you have an excuse to buy that nice new Iwill Xeon workstation MB we've both been drooling over

The Tyan evolved into its next configuration - the "RSG"*

The best part is Intel hasn't dropped Xeon prices a whit so I've waited all this time to save nothing. I could have been using my DH800 for months now. **** Intel and their horrendous money-grab

Meanwhile I'm back to using a P3 450 running the latest Fedora kernel. I always did need an excuse to get familar with Linux
