  1. I did a straight burn of a few mp3's onto a CD-RW (did not make it an audio CD, just burned the mp3s). When i tried to play this in my Symphonic wf803 DVD it doesn't seem to be able to play them! Not sure what im doing wrong here ...the DVD player seems to recognize the mp3s and shows how many are on the CD ..but as soon as it tries to play one, it can't, gives no sound, and skips to the next one and does the same thing over and over until it reaches the end.

Symphonic says it's MP3 compatible ..am i missing something here?!

    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks!

  2. Okay it turns out that the Symphonic player only likes to play mp3s encoded with a sampling frequency of 44.1 or 48 kHz and with a CBR of 112-320 kbps.

So my next question is ...can anyone recommend some mp3 editing tools that would allow me to easily modify encoding and sampling frequency settings for my existing mp3s?
