What are the non-CMC CD-R(W) /DVD+-R media?

I had some TDK,Imation,and Sony brand media which were CMC type.
Which are some good ones that are not CMC?

Yes TDK is but lately the darn discs have been made by CMC. So if you wanna use TDK then go ahead if you want to use the ones manufactured by CMC. Go buy some FUJI DVD-R 4X that is manufactured by TAIYO YUDEN which is one of the best dvd media along with MAXELL DVD-R 4X. Both of these discs are manufactured in JAPAN.

so it is tru that TDK is goin the way of CMC? i didnt want to believe it, but its sounds like its gonna be a sobering reality too bad, i always liked TDK, esp. their RICOHJPNs, oh well.

from the posts i've read in here TDK seems to be having CMC manufacture their discs. i'm thinking of buying those TDK discs from Costco because their having a buy one spindle get one free. i'm not sure when the sale begins, it's a coupon i got from Costco. i just try to help others in this forum site. i learn something everyday from this site and other forum sites regarding video, computer and dvds.
