    What is a good program to create a dvd from photos that I want to put music to. I am looking for a program that will convert the photos to mpeg format and then allow me to have each photo stay on the screen for 3 or 4 seconds and then show the next one while playing my own soundtrack. I guess I am looking to basically create a slideshow in dvd format.

    There are many DVD authoring apps that will do this...however...if you just want something to make a slideshow from pics, you might try Slide Show Movie Maker. You can add your pics, select transitions, and add a sound file to it. Only "drawback"...it creates an AVI which needs to be converted to DVD compliant MPEG...but I've never had any problems adding the AVI to tmpgenc to convert...and best of all: It's FREE

    Thanks for the info. I found a trial version of a program called proshow gold. I am not sure what format it outputs to.
