I want to make one of those repeating marquee ticker things like you see on CNN at the bottom of the screen, or like the stock ticker, scrolls from right to left and repeats,,, can this be done in Vegas?

sure. you can make them using the "Generate Text Media" menu, or by creating images of the text in an image editing program, and move them across using the "Track Motion" control.

put all your images / text on the same video track, and once you're done with the first iteration, select all, copy & paste at the end of the track.

oh ok , that makes sense,,,, hey since you're good with Vegas,,,, I rendered some files for DVD authoring as .m2v and .ac3... I used TMPGenc to multiplex them together to form an .mpg, but when I open the .mpg on the timeline, it just shows the video track, no audio,, why is this?

on a related note - BJ_M, is there a way to cut and paste envelopes, effect chains, track motion settings, etc, from one track to another?
