  1. my real one player plays vcds fine, but it won't play DVD+RWs that i recorded off my DVD recorder. it says it needs a decoder. i downloaded WinDVD trial and it plays the DVD+RWs fine.

what codec do i need to play the DVD+RWs in Real One Player? (windows media player does the same thing, but i don't even want to use that anyway).

    thanks

You'll be lucky if you get any help here with RealOne problems. Most people can't stand it(myself included). You're much better off using WinDVD anyway.

Thus begins the RealOne Player (or whatever it's called nowadays) backlash...

I would agree that most people on this board would seriously urge you to consider using a(better)nother media player.

My choices for playing DVDs would be (in no particular order - they're just better that RealPile'OShite):

    EDIT #2:

The part starting 'Testing:...' didn't highlight until after I'd made my first edit. Hmm.. hmm... hmm...

    EDIT #3 (for more testing):
    • PowerDVD
    • WinDVD

    EDIT #4:

As I suspected, the auto tool highlight does not trigger in certain situations.

Welll, I was using edits to test a single post, thereby not increasing my post count needlessly. Unlike other *ahem* post whores *cough*.

I think it won't auto link the first time when you use thefunction.
