I wanted to know if this was possible: rip the HD movie, Terminator 2 and convert it to a DV-AVI and transfer it to D-VHS. My friend has T2 Extreme on DVD and he wanted to know if I could transfer the HD version on to a D-VHS. I think that video on the D-VHS is stored as an AVI or perhaps an MPG. If any was done this before, it would be greatly appreciated before he disconnects and lends me his $1000 VCR.

D-VHS is high def , btw .. taking it to DV and then to d-vhs ... well whats the point ?
you might as well just watch the normal dvd ...
d-vhs is also mpeg2 for your info ..
there may be other ways -- but someone with a HD capture card can capture the HD playback off a PC
to do that -- you need a hefty raid system also"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650)
