Does anyone know anything about the error messages received on pulldowngui? I've posted my problem at the GUI message board, but so far haven't gotten any response (though it hasn't been that much time).

Here is the error message that I received:

"ERROR 3068: FUNCTION SYNTAX.ILLEGAL DELIMITER FOUND",

    On Line:
    BoxDrawText[1,"50,400,1000,500",'Input:\Music\Anime\rahxephon10.m2v', @FALSE,16]

    Win Batch 32 2002F
    WIL Version: 3.7fcg

I tried renaming the file like was suggested on the GUI board but that did not help. As you can tell, I was trying to run a .M2V file (23.976 fps) through so I could burn it to DVD (NTSC). I ran the original .AVI (it is a anime series I'm trying to burn) through Virtualdub to check for errors, but there were none. The funy thing is that PulldownGUI keeps transcoding the .M2V file and completes. Does anyone know if it's safe to go ahead and burn using the completed file (I'm just wondering if it might cause a problem with the audio)?

Why don't you try command line mode? It is very simple.

Just go to START and then RUN and type in CMD

Just go to the DIR that your file is in and type:

    pulldown.exe oldfilename.mpv newfilename.mpv

That's really all you need to do for 3:2 pulldown

    P.S.
I've never used the GUI there is no need for it!

FulciLives if all you need is the pulldown function then its even easier to just drag and drop the m2v onto the pulldown executable. After it finishes check at c:\ and your new file will be there.

chanchan, just looking at the error text is seems more like a gui problem not a problem with pulldown.exe. My guess is that the resulting m2v file is fine. Check to make sure its the same size as the original and as long as the authoring program doesn't complain I'd say its fine. In the future try putting both the pulldown executable as well as the source m2v file in a directory with less folders. For instance put it in c:\tools\pulldown\pulldown.exe rather than c:\:\Documents and Settings\blah\Desktop\blah\pulldown.exe

I've found that I get period errors if I don't keep the paths short.

Thanks for ya'lls help. Running it without the GUI it's working fine. I also didn't know you could just drag and drop it like that .

adam, I have pulldown.exe located on my D drive so it's not too far burried.
