Ok, i have concert footage from a DVD that i have imported into Premiere. It is shot with a personal cam by a guy in the audience, and the sound picked up by the cam is really poor.

I have 2 other sources of audio--soundboard recording, and a 2nd audience recording, done with very good mics and equipment. I want to take out the original audio, and insert one of the 2 other sources.

Here's what i tried so far:

The soundboard source is officially released by the band, so its straight from the people. I already tried to add the audio to the video in Premiere, but it appears that the speed of one of the sources is off.

I can match up the video's sound (VS) and the soundboard source (SBD) completely at a point, but as the show goes on, it gets out of sync. I can tell b/c i can use headphones and put 1 track in left ear and other in right ear.

I tried messin with the speed, but i dont think that the speed is a constant variable, b/c it always ends up desync at a further point. Any suggestions, or is it hopeless?

Of course it's not hopeless. Try a program like Gold Wave. Get the total time of the video, and the use the Time Warp function from Gold Wave to shrink or expand the length of the the audio to match the video.

but for that to work, each of the songs would need the exact same start and stop points. and live songs just kinda tend to trail on and even run right into the next song. will that work?

Of course it will work. Time Warp adjusts the length of the audio to match the video.
