I have used dvd shrink to backup my dvd's before without to many problems until i got Queen the other day.
If i try to backit up i get this.
dvd shrink encounted an error and cannot continue
Failed to read file "E:\"
Data error(cyclic redundancy check)
When i try to play it on my pc nec1300a i get an error there just trying to play it the error is.
Error code F4D41436 The tv out port of your display card is not working properly.
Is there some kind of new protection on this disk or anybody else had this problem before, any advice would be appreaciated. Thanks

Damaged/dirty/scratched disc.

I have had this problem and found if you rip it at a slower speed it usually works fine, providing the scratch or blemish is not too bad.

About my media i was going to use princo but that doesent really matter as i don't get to put it in as it fails during the analysing or encoading faze
i did intend to burn at 2x as with the nec1300a and princo disks i have to
or it will fail.
The disk i want to backup is a new one
I am really stumped with the video uotput error.
anyway thanks again.

I am really stumped with the video output error.

Try an earlier version of DVD Shrink or use DVD decrypter. Earlier versions of DVD shrink seem to have this problem less often.

There's something weird going on here. I've read a number of posts where people have said .... worked Ok until today, and now I get Data Error ....
I also have had no problems but am now getting .... Data Error Cyclic redundancy check VIDEO TS / whatever ....
I haven't changed burner, software or media.
I'll try slower ripping ( if I can set it ) and see what happens.
The DVD's play OK but I can't make a backup copy.
