    I cant seem to find any info on this.
    I have a sony miniDV camcorder, which can record 60 min SP or 90 min LP.
    There must be a tradeoff for that extra half hour.
    Can anyone tell me what it is?

    so how is the picture quality degraded?
    does LP mode use some sort of compression?
