Virtual Dub Blank Screen

Hey

Got a problem.

When ever i try to save a divx/xvid to divx/xvid, and click on save the projected file size stays the same, and when i click to watch it on err mediaplayer, i get an unknown error, if i open the save file in virtual dub, i get sound but there is no picture.

Sounds like a codec problem. A codec is the file that plays a certain type of video compression. If you do not have the right codec installed, then any player that tries to show it can't find the codec and will dispay an error. The reason that you can hear the audio, however, is because audio is basically the same for all video formats - it's seperate from the video.

Get the DivX codec at www.divx.com
Get the Xvid codec at www.xvid.org

Hope this helps! I have had this problem before and simply corrected it by downloading the right codecs
