I've been around for some time and I see a lot of things bounced back and forth on a weekly or monthly basis. Anyway, some battles that won't be won...
1] +R vs. -R: Epic wars have been fought here in the past. No need now with dual format burners.
2] Intel vs. AMD: Each certainly has it's advantages and disadvantages.
3] PC vs. MAC: Lots of good natured kidding on this one, but the MAC converted to a PC post did ruffle some feathers a while back.
4] Capturing at D1 vs. Half D1: More of a matter of preference and capture equipment behavior.
5] VHS vs Beta: Uhhhh, OK. I can't think of any more off the top of my head...
*edit* Forgot one: The Sharpie vs. stick on vs. direct printing methods of writing on DVD/CDs

Beta is handsdown better than VHS, there is no question. If someone can argue against this I would like to see that.
As for labelling DVD's/CD's, the direct printing is the best way to go and I dont think there is an argument about that. -

8. This is arguable,
9. Theyre both good if done right.
10. Nero destroys RecordNow. But again, this is opinion.
11. No opinion.
12. DVD SHrink and DVD Clone are ahead of the rest.
13. Yea.....
14. Ritek baby but still arguable
So all in all, the only one that isnt debateable is the PC Cap versus DVD Recorder. Until DVD recorders can do all that a PC app. can do then this one if put to rest. -

1) at first i was all for -R, but now i'm leaning towards +R because of the bitsetting abilities. not to mention, they're gonna be coming out with dual layer recording first.
2) intel
3) pc, warex just arent nice enough for the mac
4) D1 for movies/events, half D1 for television series.
5) who cares anymore?
6) avi, of course
7) standalone dvd recorders do eliminate alot of hassle
8 ) CCE
9) DV
10) nero for CD's, recordnow max for DVD's
11) powerdvd
12) clonedvd, if i can remove extra's without touching video quality, IC if compression is needed
