From my personal experiences I can only imagine it's a combination of bad media and a defective burner. I have never used this specific media, but my DVDR 106 has problems playing any DVD+-R I've tried with it. Burning works withour problems, and playing them in my standalone and my DVD-ROM works fine as well but playing them in the DVDR106D always gives jerky playback. Burn verification in nero also fails each and every time. I would suggest you try the DVD in a different DVD-ROM. And also try to rip the dvd with smartripper or dvddecryptor with another DVD-ROM. It will tell you if there are unreadable blocks. If there are non then the bruning itself went fine.
