    The first time I had ever seen the term "trunk monkey" used was on the i-Club, the North American Impreza owner's club forums. In fact I'm almost sure it was coined there several years back. I think they first starting using it as a regular term for a servant for the trunk back in 1998. I saw the spot you posted a year or two ago and we all cried foul. They stole our idea :P

    Our trunk monkey would change a tire, check fluid levels while driving, and douse a cigarette in your friend's eye if he lights one up in your car. All that and it can defend your car from theft
