  1. After I do the encoding and turn the mpeg into VCD, at 352x288, what will that look like on my tv screen?

  3. It depends on the quality of your you movie. If its a dvd rip i should look great. Or if its a downloaded divx with high res it should still look good. Downloaded divx movies lose a little quality evey time they get downloaded. So if you have a dvd rom dvd rips are the way to go.

  4. If it means anything... I never noticed how much VHS sucks until I started to do this. Comparing shows I taped vs TV never made a difference to me, but noticing shows I captured vs shows I taped then captured is a big difference.

  5. Thanks for the quick response! Actually, I was refering to the size of picture I would have on my TV if it was encoded at 352x288. Is it going to be full screen on my TV or pretty small?

    All VCD/SVCD is played at full screen irregardless of the resolution.
