I have a 200 W deck and I have two 6 x 9 's in the back that are still working but not the greatest and I think they are blown, and both my door speakers are totally blown and I leave them turn off.
Anyways what should I do I'm going to futureshop tomorrow to get only 2 new speakers should I replace the door speakers or replace the 2 Back speakers ?
I want the music to be loud and nice sounding I'm not getting a amp or anything like that, I was first thinking of replacing the 2 door speakers but just now I thought maybe if I got 2 new back speakers they might be alot louder and sound better then 2 door speakers, tell me what you think please.
And thank you for all your help !!!

Personally, I would get an amp, subwoofer and 6x9's. But gvein the choice between door speakers and 6x9's I'd go with the 6x9's. Car stereo equipment is cheap these days. You should think about getting a subwoofer and amp.

Def. get the two 6X9s. You will get a lot more sound and quality out of the 6X9 rather then some 5 1/4 or whatever size you have up there. You will have better sounding and deeper bass along with pretty decent highs on the 6x9s. There really is no comparison between the front and backs. Go with the rears.
Good luck.

Get some 6.5" splits in the front from a reputable brand (Alpine, Hertz, MTX, Cadence, Phoenix Gold etc) and some 6.5" coaxials in the back also from a reputable brand.
If you are going to upgrade in the future to a subwoofer and amp then 6 X 9's wouldn't be my choice of speaker however if you aren't looking at upgrading in the future then replace the coaxials I suggested with a good pair of 6 X 9's to make up for the lack of bass from no sub. -
Thanks for all your help, now I just have to get my GF to go along with it, I spent a week talking her into letting me get the 2 door speaker replaced, hehe now I have to change it to 2 new 6x9's don't think that will go over easy or well.

I like Boston Acoustic, but they're damn expensive. The sound clarity is really good, though.

yep, 6x9's and a sub. sounds nearly as good as a proper budget stereo....

I had my 6x9's all picked out was excited to went to future shop and the guy looked up my car and said I can only have 6.5 in the doors or in the back and that I couldn't have 6x9's shit I was mad they were sopuse to be installed in 5 minutes so I grabs the matching 6.5 speakers for the door. I was not happy I spent just under $200 for somthing I was not happy with and it turns out I have 6x9's already in the back I went in today and spoke to costumer service and he said bring them in tomorrow and they will put the 6x9's in for you. I hope they don't charge me extra.
I'll let you know how it turns out ! -
Don't let them charge you extra. If they say they have to, just get your money back and go somewhere else. They were the ones that made the mistake. And since you are hooking them up to the deck, don't let them say they have to rewire or anything like that....they will try to nickle and dime you for everything. So just have them install the 6X9s and if they say they have to rewire because of the factory plugs.....just tell them to cut the plug off and attatch some female ends.
Hope it works out ok.

Yeah I hope I don't get screwed out of any money, it was thier mistake but I think it will go ok I'll let you tomorrow.

you didn't install them yourself......
It's a ten minute job. granted it takes a little longer if you need to cut a hole in your parcel shelf, but nonetheless...... -
they are taking the 6.5 speaker I bought 2 days ago out of the door and putting the 6x9's that I wanted in the first place in the rear It's only cost me $11 more that price difference of the speakers.
They are doing it at 1 PM today. -
Got the speakers done, I'm happy now, going to buy some cheap 6.5 for the doors after I pick my daughter up from school.

Good to hear you've got the tunes happening again.
I wouldn't touch Sony Xplod car audio gear with a 50 foot pole though. -

Thanks you for all your help and reply's, now I just have to find away to keep from my old shitty car to stop making rattling noises when I turn the music up loud.
