I was browsing through a local retailers flyer and see an external DVD Writer (USB 2) with a built in capture device, advertising it as a unit that will convert VHS/Camcorder etc to DVD.
Has anyone had the opportunity to try one of these and have some examples? How good they are at capturing older, less than perfect tapes? Do they drop frames? I'm curious as to how well these work as this looks alot easier than trying to deal with capture cards.
