Can I use easymedia 7 and dvdxcopy

I use dvdxcopy express to back up dvds and have just bought (but not installed yet) roxio easymedia creator 7 to convert my old 8mm camcorder tapes.

I have read that sometimes one wont work if the other is installed. Is this true and is there a way round it. If not I'll have to buy another dear dvd writer (Ive 2 decent (XP2200 and xp2800) pcs) - but i dont want to have to do that. Whats (if there is) the problem?

I dont want to remove and reinstall dvdxcopy again as Im worried I end up not being able to and end up with the RF (ripper free) version that is no good to me - I have already bought the express and the platinum versions and that's set me back enough thank you.

I am confused. You would not have to buy another drive At most you would just have to use different software.
