  1. I just purchased a 50 pack of ritek dvd-r inkjet printables from shop4tech for use on my epson r200 and I have to say that the results were horrible! I know that it was not the fault of the printer because I had some printable cd's (not sure of brand because they were just given to me) and they looked fantastic after printing the same thing. Please share your experiences with certain media that you have used. Just FYI stay away from shop4tech because they will make you pay to ship back their defective product , so in the end you will pay about $6.00 for absolutly no reason whatsoever and will be empty handed. If you take the replacement you will have paid more than the advertised price and will have waited a total of one month to get everything straightened out. The sad part is that I have always had total satisfaction with ritek products in the past.

Have used ritek printables for a year now and NEVER had a problem printing on my 900.
I would say the problem is the settings you use and you are laying down far too much ink...
Share your settings and i bet they are well over the top on ink....
    cd/dvd 0 or +1 = great prints....

Why should they pay for the return of the product when there is nothing wrong with it.....You are lucky they would entertain taking them back...
Would also say you would get a far better response posting in the MEDIA forum....

  3. I do use the 0 setting. After printing some areas have better coverage than others. Even before printing on the surface you can tell that the some areas are dull and some have spots of a glossy look. WOW your good if you can say there is nothing wrong with them without ever having seen them

  4. Using Ritek G04 -/R White Printables W/ R300. No Problems. Suggest you check your G200 print settings and cd/dvd grapgics software settings.

Sounds a bit like your printer heads may need cleaning, remember you wont get a totally glossy finish as the base is matt. Any gloss you are seeing is most likly too much ink.
Are you using cd/dvd setting or one of the paper settings in the print cd software ?
