I just bought a brand new DRX-530UL and hooked it up to my Sony V505DX. At first I tried burning using TDK DVD+R 4x discs. It burnt fine, rather quicker than I thought. But when I tried reading it, the drive doesn't recognize the disc. Then I tried reading it using my dvd-rom drive and the same thing happened.

So I went out and bought some TDK DVD-R 2x discs and tried to burn the same thing. This time my dvd-rom drive was able to recognize the disc but accessing the data on the disc was really sketchy. I tried running the disc on different dvd-rom drives and got about the same results.

I also got the firmware upgrade thing, and using Sonic RecordNow software. Does anyone know if it's something with the burner or the media?
