hi can anyone help on this matter since I have built my new machine

ati radeon9200se
msi mbrd
80gb hdd
120gb hdd
dvd-writer
I have been having trouble encoding and divx film to any format my pc just freezes or turns itself off.
tried many software TMPGenc,nero,ulead but no joy
Please Help a desperate man

ive always used dvd2svcd to do this and since uve already got tmpgenc id say try that, however i prefare cce over tmpgenc, i also use the d2sroba plugin for dvd2svcd giving me a 2cd svcd from an avi in or around 3hours on a lower spec machine than urs and at 99% quality of the source, well to my eyes ne way lol
