    Is it possible that my system is to slow to burn movies i have an amd 1200+pro at 892mhz and 240 megs of ram? however I have backed up movies in the past using dvdXcopy and DVD SHRINK now each time I try to back up a movie I get the same error message.

    In XCoPY it says !Error writing to disk and shrink it says the same.

    Sounds more like a disk problem. How much space do you have available?

    Try doing some disk maintenance, scandisk or similar, followed by a defrag. Maybe even run the disk cleanup tool to clean out the crap.
