  1. I thought I had bought rewriteable discs to do my dvd video's on but when I began burning the first dvd (at speed x4) - it didn't work after 4%. So, I tried writing again, but this time at a slower speed ie x2 - however when I tried to do this, using the same disc, it said there wasn't enough space left on it. My question is, how do you get back to the beginning of a disc so that you can write over the top of the last mistake??? thanks

What software are you using? Most software will either ask you if you want to erase the disk before writing to it. Or it'll just do it for you. Atleast all of the software I use does this.

  5. When you go to write on a rw that already has data on it, nero will ask if you wish to erase, simply select YES.
    If it's wet, drink it

  6. It didn't give me any options. I will try another brand of dvd-rw to see if that is any better. Thanks

I haven't got Nero in front of me, but from memory it's Tools, Erase Disk on the menu bar.

try a different program for formatting the disc... nero does erase a disc but only when it can read the data on it... right now that dvd-rw is probably unreadable and maybe unsalvagable... (is that a real word... ? )
i use dvd+rw on nero (by ridata) works great!
With all due respect... and there is respect...

I bought a stack of those exact same DVD+RW's as well. They work great for me. Better then the Riteks in my standalone player. And it's nice to know that if I screw it up I can erase it and redo it.
