  1. I've tried contacting DVD lab support...it seems that when I compile movies with motion menus I only get .vob files and nothing else......

Does any one know how to fix this?

    THanks

  2. The problem is in your mpeg files or motion menu files (frequency is not the same or wrong audio bitrate).

For me it worked when I reincoded them all in one tool (TMPGenc is not the best, it has problems with audio/video sinc, I used cinemacraft encoder).

    Hope, it helps

    Huh?

I'm not going to start a debate about what encoder is best, but audio sync is not a problem with TMPGEnc. I've encoded hundreds (maybe thousands) of files, of all different sources, and have never had an audio sync problem with TMPGEnc.

  5. Me neither. Tmpgenc works for me in thousands cases and didn't work for hundreeds. You asked question why you don't have ifos, I answered. I resolved that problem reencoding files (or using another authoring tool, not so sinsire to differences in bitrate and video rate).

If you don't like my answer, just forget about it, I'm not going to insist.

  6. Thanks for the help,

I am using the TMPGENC DVD source creator that is bundled with DVD lab 1.3.1

My first question is when audio transcoding I have been switching to PCM, because when I try the mpeg audio option it doesnt convert @ 48k hz and I was getting erorrs. PCM seemed to fix this problem and it would allow me to compile.

Let me ask another question first...if I convert to PCM should I delete the .mpa out of my vido asset folder before compile and in addition on the motion menus even if i don want sound should i let the .mpa file stay with in import into my asset folder?

    Thanks

  7. Any video/audio in Assets does not influence your project if only you didn't add it to the video track.

If you converted your audio to PCM, just make sure, that audio track in the film is PCM, not MPA, because dvdlab does not make it automatically. I deleted mpa from my assets just in order not to be confused with them.

When you compile, only that media is taken from your assets, that is in the connection tree.

And one more thing. When I converted audio in dvdlab itself, in 80% cases I went out of sync. In that case I chose to reencode mpeg (quality loose is not visible) and add it to dvdlab without demuxing.

    Wish you luck.
