I have Comcast cable internet. All of a sudden for the last 2 days my internet downloading and surfing is horribly SLOW, about 5-7 times slower than normal. I have not done anything that I am aware of to cause this such as added any new hardware or software. Also tried defragging, disabling Norton but neither helped. I called Comcast and they said everything is fine on their end. Can anyone possible shed and information or possible solutions to this problem. Cable internet costs way too much money to have this problem and I am really puzzled by what could be wrong. Really would appreciate your feedback, thank you so much.
    Thank You,

I would go to a site like dsl reports, broadband reports.com, SpeedGuide.net and run a speed test. One problem with cable is that when they add more users to your local node, your service may slow down. Another common problem is that your modem may need to be reset. With mine, if I am having stange problems, I unplug the power or shut it off for a minute and plug it back in and it will reprogram from the ISP and this solves some problems. The sites I listed have a lot of diagnostic tools to check out your setup. [/url]
