  1. Is it possible to losslessly cut MPEG2 and/or DivX? If so, are there any free commandline-based programs for Windows to do that? I've heard MEncode (from MPlayer) can do that, but I can't figure out how to use it; its HTML manual file is >500kB!

  2. Virtual Dub for DivX, TMPGEnc (using MPEG tools Merge and Cut) for MPEG-2. Search the guides for a descritpion how to do it.

  3. But do they allow cutting through use of the commandline, like Asfcut? I've made a frontend for Asfcut that allows very quick identification of sections to cut, and would like to add support for more than WMV.
