If I make a DVD in DVD+RW, can I then make a copy of it onto a DVD-RW Disc? Also, I read that DVD-RW quality is not as good as DV=RW; does that refer to the sharpness of the image?

Yes you can copy from one to the other no problems.
As far as I am concerned there is no difference in quality between -r and +r only price. -
I don't see why not. I can't think of a reason why you couldn't do it...
