I have an xbox 1.5 with the samsung 605 dvdrom drive in it.

It is able to read every format of disk I throw at it except dvd-r with data files on it. (ie divx, xvid, mpg, mp3, wma etc)

Has anybody with Xbox and Samsung Drive managed to get dvd-r to work in the XBOX. For example dvd-mp3 disk or similar type of data dvd-r discs? If so how?

I'll assume you are burning in UDF format. Are the filenames you are storing on DVD longer than 42 characters (including the dot AND extension)? The XBOX (and it's underlying filesystem) won't read files with names longer than 42 characters.
