Has anyone seen this model? Although I first saw it on newegg, it is advertised by the manufacturer:

I picked one up, and it seems pretty standard, but I haven't opened it up. Doesn't seem to be a progressive-scan player and I haven't tried to record the output. The box says the player is limited to playing region-1 DVDs only. I wonder if that can be fixed. I wonder if it's even worthwhile trying.
