Need A Region Hack For My Optorite Burner?

I have an Optorite DD201 burner that is superb, except I think I have just messed up due to my lack of knowledge of backing up DVD's. Basically I can no longer change the region code of my drive and it is set to Region 1 for US discs, as I have backed-up a few of these. Thing is I want to turn the region code back to region 2 as I live in the UK and the stupid thing will not let me, which is a complete pain as the majority of discs I back-up are region 2's. I have updated the drives firmware hoping that this would reset the region change counter back up to 5 but it did not work! Is there any simple to use software hack that can help me out with my dilema. Please help guys

I have managed to get this working with a trial version of DVD Region Free, however DVD Decrypter does not work with it. DVD shrink does, which I mainly use anyway. I was just wondering is there a way to resest the Region on the Optorite burners or have I screwed it with my lack of knowledge?

The easiest solution would be to download a version of anydvd which will automatically remove region coding and encryption.

Cheers mate I will try a version of that. That would be the easiest solution if it works with everything. Just wouldn't of minded sorting the region counter as I guess I am stuck with this writer now, as I couldn't sell it on if won't play Region 2 discs or back them up. My own stupid fault though!

It's ok I sorted this found a hacked firmaware upgrade from RPC1 or something, works great now with no software. Great burner the DD201
