  1. I am using dvdshrink ver3 to compress a dvd-9 to an iso for buring onto a dvd-r. At the end of the iso file, it keeps saying I have no more disk space, when my space starts with 15 gig. WHY? Thanks.

The drive you are trying to save to must be a FAT32 partition, which has a limit of 4GB. If you run Win2000 or XP, convert to NTFS. If not, try saving to VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders, since that way no single file breaks the 4GB barrier.

For any serious DVD work or digital video work etc. you really need to use the NTFS file system.

That means Win 2000 or WinXP

    Time to upgrade man!

Nope, I've done it and kept all my data. Just be sure you convert, not format.

  6. Sorry for asking for these little questions.
But how do u convert? When I do a "right click" on my partition which E:, the only thing I can do to it is "format". Can not find the word "convert" any where?

    Thanks...

  7. I have just found my own answer.

    C:\> CONVERT E: /fs:ntfs (where E is the partition)

    Thanks for all your inputs

I just noticed in your computer details that you run Windows 98 Second Ed., so you can't convert to NTFS. Your only option, then, is to save to folders, as I suggested above, then burn those, for example with Nero.

    I have a P3 650Mhz with 256MB RAM

    I was running Win98 SE

When I installed the upgrade to WinXP it asked me during the installation if I wanted to convert my existing 2 physical hard drives to NTFS

I did so without any problems such as loss of data.

My computer now runs faster and is more stable as well.

Yeah, if you can, upgrading to XP is a good move, as FulciLives says. I went from ME to XP, so you know I'm a happier camper. I often joke that the only virus I've ever had on my computer was ME.
