    I downloaded a file that was called sumthin.dvdrip.divx.ac3-zen.mpg

    WMP says it doesn't recognise the format, WinAmp 3 doesn't play it (but gives no error message either). TMPGEnc says file type not supported, and VDub gave some explanation about how since v1.3 and following complaints by Microsoft, it stopped supporting .asf files... I'm a bit at a loss as to how to open this file ... basically want to convert it to a VCD... any ideas what I should do ??

    Delete it. It looks like a dupe file from the mpaa. It can't be asf, divx and mpg all at the same time. That should have been your first clue.
